Greece Driver Visa

Greece, with which our country has volatile relations, is also one of our neighboring countries and communication with Greece is never interrupted no matter what the conditions are. There are constant entries and exits between the two countries both in commercial and touristic terms. In fact, Greece applies different types of visas to those leaving our country, just as it does to people coming from many parts of the world, depending on the reason for their arrival in the country. It is not possible for Turkish citizens to enter this country without a visa. The Greece driver visa is also a type of visa that must be obtained by those who will enter Greece as a driver, regardless of where they are. It is a type of visa that is only valid for those who work as drivers for commercial purposes, transportation, tours, etc.

The Greece driver visa application period is short compared to many other countries, between 4 and 7 days. Nevertheless, the application should be made at least 15 days before going to this country in case of any possible problems.

How to Apply?

  • Applications for a Greece driver’s visa are made through centers working in this field, as in many similar countries, by preparing the requested documents below. The requested documents must be delivered completely and without errors on the appointment day and time. The situation here is different from other countries. People cannot apply to any Greek Consulate to get a driver’s visa. Accordingly, the person applies to the consulate that is deemed appropriate for him/her. That is

    • To the Consulate in Edirne: Those living in the cities of Edirne, Tekirdağ and Kırklareli
    • To the Embassy in Ankara: Adana, Elazığ, Aksaray, Adıyaman, Osmaniye, Erzurum, Ağrı, Amasya, Ankara, Ardahan, Batman, Bilecik, Bingöl, Bitlis, Çankırı, Çorum, Diyarbakır, Erzincan, Kilis, Eskişehir, Gaziantep, Hakkari, Iğdır, Karaman, Nevşehir Kars, Kayseri, Tokat, Kırıkkale, Kırşehir, Konya, Malatya, Mardin, Those living in the provinces of Mersin, Kahramanmaraş, Muş, Hatay, Siirt, Niğde, Sivas, Şırnak, Tunceli, Van, Yozgat Şanlıurfa can apply.
    • To the Izmir Consulate General: Antalya, Afyon, Kütahya, İzmir, Aydın, Balıkesir, Denizli, Burdur, Isparta, Manisa, Uşak Those living in the city of Muğla can apply for a Greece driver visa.

Documents Required for Application

The documents required for the Greece driver visa are as follows:

  • Passport valid for 6 months
  • A recent biometric photo with a white background and dimensions of 35*45 mm
  • International driver’s license
  • B2 and B1 documents
  • The driver’s current criminal record. If the driver has a criminal record for some reason, a court decision must be submitted along with it, regardless of the reason
  • The company’s approved driver list
  • UND (International Freight Forwarders Association) guarantee letter
  • Export permit C2 document
  • A cooperation document or invitation letter from a European Union member state
  • A full-fledged population registration sample including address and family information
  • A photocopy of the identity card
